In the 1965 LP album, the line "There's Rabbit and Piglet and there's Owl" is said as "There's Rabbit, there's Piglet, and there's Owl".
When the original song was written, Tigger did not appear in Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree, hence his exclusion from the song. In the 2011Winnie the Pooh film, Tigger was added in the lyric, "and Kanga, and little Roo (and Tigger too!)"
However, this did not stop them from excluding Piglet, who also did not appear in Honey Tree. At the time the song was written, Piglet was originally intended to be replaced by Gopher, before the decision was made to have both of them live in tandem in the final version.
In the documentary film Pursuing Happiness, Richard Sherman recalled when a college student asked him how much money he made from the song. He said that during the Baby Jessica incident in 1987, Jessica asked her mother from the well to sing this song to her to help her feel better, saying that if Winnie the Pooh could get out of a tight spot, she can too.
