Wiggledancing! Live In Concert is the twenty-sixth Wiggles video special from 2007 and the fifth live concert special after Wiggledancing! Live In The U.S.A.. This is the first appearance of Sam Wiggle as Greg's replacement. The concert was filmed at the Racing to the Rainbow tour on December 16th and 18th, 2006 at the Sydney Entertainment Centre.

Overview[]

The Wiggles performed for three quarters of a million people last year on their USA tour, travelling from Los Angeles to Dallas to New York and cities in between. Families snapped up tickets to the toe-tapping, travelling festival of fun. Filmed in High Definition, Wiggledancing! Live In Concert captures The Wiggles and their friends at their most exciting, live in concert at the Sydney Entertainment Centre. From the opening of Toot Toot, the Big Red Car makes its grand entrance through the curtains and the crowd are up on their little feet! You see and hear your favourite Wiggles Songs from the last 15 years. Everyone put your hands in the air, and sing Rock-A-Bye Your Bear! Wiggles songs are all about engaging children and interaction, so with Wiggledancing you can Move Your Arms Like Henry, Point Your Fingers And Do The Twist, Swim Like A Fish, Dance In The Sand or jump up and down to The Monkey Dance! It's Lights Camera Action, as you'll be taken on a musical journey from the sweet shores of Wiggle Bay, to the lively of harbour of Sydney. After this much fun, you'll want to recharge your energy levels by partaking in the wiggly cuisine of Hot Potato, as well as The Wiggles' world famous Fruit Salad. With 26 songs, you'll feel like you've had your own private concert broadcast into your home. There's so many ways to have fun, but the best is to put on your dancing shoes and Wiggledance!

Trivia[]

  • The layout (not content) on the menus is almost exactly the same as the menus for Wiggledancing! Live In The U.S.A., but the pictures of The Wiggles have been replaced, as have the red, white, blue coloured curtains/balloons with more generic colours.
  • This live show/video marked:
    • The first concert video to feature Sam as the Yellow Wiggle.
    • The first time Captain Feathersword disguises himself in a segment called "Little Duck, Middle Duck and Big Duck". This later happens with other disguises in Getting Strong! and Wiggle and Learn.
    • The last time that The Wiggles Murray, Anthony and Jeff wear their 2002-era skivvies and pants. In the next video, the clothes get updated, it’s also the last time until The Wiggles Reunion Show that the Wiggles wear their 2002-era skivvies.
    • The only Sam era video to not receive a physical release in the US.
  • This video was never released on DVD in the US; however, it was available on iTunes, under the "Wiggledancing! Live In The U.S.A." title and with its poster. It is no longer available for purchase. Parts of the video were also included as extras on the iTunes release of Sing a Song of Wiggles, The Wiggles Present: Dorothy the Dinosaur and a bonus DVD sampler included with some copies of Hot Potatoes! The Best of The Wiggles.
  • Clips of this were also featured in Wiggles World at Six Flags theme parks
  • According to the version of 15 Years of Wiggly Fun! and the Racing to the Rainbow Show! Programme, Wiggledancing! Live In The U.S.A was planned to be released in Australia instead of this release. Due to Greg's departure they probably decided to film the show for this video as a replacement.
  • Anthony's wife Miki and his daughters Lucia and Maria are in the first row for this concert. John Field's daughter and Anthony's niece Carla is in the audience with her little cousins, as well.
  • The video was filmed on December 16, 2006, at the Sydney Entertainment Centre.
  • When Anthony introduces Lyn Moran (Sam's then real-life wife), Sam touches his heart showing that he loves her.
  • Nicole Camage plays Wags in this video, as mentioned by Anthony at the end of the show, although Kristy Talbot is also credited with the role.
  • Throughout the video, because of the lights, Captain Feathersword's slide turns green instead of blue.
  • On the Big Red Car, there is an L sign, which means "learner", since Sam was the new driver of the Big Red Car. This what exactly happened with Tsehay in Fruit Salad Big Show.
  • Fairy Larissa debuted in this video.
  • The UK DVD files are called WIGGLEDANCING_UK.
  • The UK DVD was burned on March 20th 2007.
  • Greg is mentioned by Murray before Sam is introduced and by Anthony who reads another sign. His name can also be seen on a sign during Ooh It's Captain Feathersword.
  • Unlike other Wiggles DVDs, this one comes with a 5.1 surround sound mix.[1] The centre track contains voices of The Wiggles, Captain and Henry the Octopus, the front tracks contain the music, as well as voices of Dorothy the Dinosaur and Wags the Dog and the rear tracks contain reverb for the voices and ambience of the audience and stage.
  • This is Katherine Patrick's last video as Henry the Octopus before it would be taken over by Mario Martinez Diaz. And also, this is Emily McGlinn's first video as Dorothy the Dinosaur. Not only that, but Ryan De Saulnier also makes his last appearance.
  • An alternate version of the DVD without AUSLAN (Australian Sign Language) can be found on the UK and HK releases and on the Wiggly Favourites DVD with Getting Strong!.
  • Although not identified, the man off-screen during Dorothy's scene who says to Anthony "Cellophane", is actually one of the camera operators, Phil Dow.
  • This is the only Sam video to feature the 2001 skivvies.
  • This video was uploaded on WildBrain's YouTube channel starting June 16, 2022.
  • The UK DVD was released a day before Anthony Field's 44th birthday.
  • This is the first Wiggles DVD in the UK to have the 2007 HIT Entertainment logo.
  • The Hong Kong DVD has no Song Jukebox menu and the Sing Along with The Wiggles subtitle track is removed on the Set Up menu. Not to mention the menus are static.
  • In this video, Captain Feathersword quacks while walking in the sand, quacks like a robot, quacks while wading through the bushes, and quacks like an ant running around the kitchen floor.
