Weird World is a Walt Disney Animation Studios franchise created by British cartoonist and artist Reloaxa. Starting off as the 2018 animated feature Weird World, it's since spawned into a franchise containing three sequels (the final in two parts), a television series, several video games, successful merchandise sales and loads of other bits of media. It's based on the shorts Weird Shorts from the TV showcase series Reloaxa's Avid Animations.

The franchise follows the story of a colourful planet populated by weird looking creatures of all kinds where 'everyone has a destiny'. One of them, DJ and music producer George Jacqueline, teams up with legendary super team The Extraordinary Eight (later Eleven) to fight monsters, find precious relics and learn the true value of friendship alongside human girl Stephanie, who aims to try and return to Earth after a tragic incident that caused her to be lost.

The franchise was very successful and received universal acclaim from critics and audiences. It was praised for it's originality, writing, characters, humour, action, representations of autism and LGBT rights and themes including diversity, differences, mental health, finding one's inner self and friendship. It has been named by many as one of the greatest franchises of all time, won numerous awards and became a huge influence to many future films and TV series. It's often considered, alongside Soulflake and Sorita the Lonely Sea Girl, to be one of Reloaxa's greatest animated creations and it's his most popular, best known and signature creation. The total value of the Weird World franchise was estimated at $10 billion, making Weird World one of the highest-grossing media franchises of all time.

A few years after the release of The Weird World 4nale (Part 2), it was rumoured that Reloaxa was going to revive the franchise and continue the story, but he's denied this rumour stating on Twitter "Nope. That's it - Weird World's story is done. It was an incredible ride, it had everything the fans didn't know they wanted & now they can look forward to some more new exciting projects on the way. But I will always hold these incredible and precious characters near & dear to me."
