Vincent Afton the 2nd (referred to as "The Purple Man" by the animatronics) is the main antagonist of the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise. He is the unseen overarching antagonist of Five Nights at Freddy's and Five Nights at Freddy's 2, the main antagonist of Five Nights at Freddy's 3, the overarching antagonist of Five Nights at Freddy's 4, and a major antagonist in Sister Location.

Five Nights at Freddy's[]
Vincent Afton makes no physical appearance in anyway in Five Nights at Freddy's. He is only mention during the song "The Purple Man" and is pictured in a drawing made by Freddy Fazbear when describing the appearance.
Five Nights At Freddy's 2[]
While not present in the actual events of the film, he makes his debut through various flashbacks of Mangle, Puppet, (withered) Freddy, (withered) Foxy, and Golden Freddy.
With the missing children incident (mentioned in the first film), he was revealed to be the murderer.
Five Nights at Freddy's 3[]
Vincent makes his first major role in the third film, serving as the main antagonist. In the year 1995, Vincent, along with Salvage Bonnie, are both trying to commit more crimes to try and ruin the reputation of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, in order to get vengeance on his brother William. He does this by kidnapping the animatronics and turning them into Salvage animatronics.
In the film's climax, Vincent reveals his motivation for the murders: his lifelong jealousy of his brother William, who was constantly favored over him by his father for his superior design ability. Despite this, Fredbear manages to save the animatronics and set Fazbear Frights on fire. Salvage Bonnie then turns against Vincent, but the flames fell and smashed salvaged bonnie and Vincent escaped from a fazbear's fright and went into hiding.
Five Nights at Freddy's 4[]
Vincent Afton serves as a major antagonist of the film. He is the uncle of Chris Afton and Terrence Afton, as he just sits on the couch and watches television rather than tending to Chris’ needs. It is soon revealed that Vincent was plotting to destroy his brother William’s reputation by murdering children his restaurant, Fredbear’s Family Diner. He does so and he becomes a prime suspect in the missing children’s incident, where he is seen being arrested.
In the post-credits scene, it was shown that he was let go due to lack of evidence.
Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location[]
Vincent makes an appearance in a flashback scene. In the film, it is revealed that he knew William and Henry worked together back in the 1970s to create Afton Robotics, a corporation that designed and built animatronics. Vincent, however, used it for evil, wanting to use it for his crimes, while William used it for good, wanting to use it to create animatronics.
