As Makucha's Army retreats, Nirmala explains that the battle against Makucha's Army makes him stay focused as she tells Kion that his healing is complete. Soon as the Lion Guard plans to return to the Pride Lands, the Night Pride remains with their duty in protecting the Tree of Life. Soon as the Guard goes on patrol, Kion returns to Cikha Escarpment to talk to Askari again. Kion then talks to Askari to continue his training to which he explains one who is ready to let go of the Roar can truly master the power. Soon as Kion decides to give up the Roar, he tells Kion that he has everything the Roar can do.
Meanwhile at the desert, Bunga helps a camel who is unable to walk as he continues walking perfectly. While talking about Kion to which they don't know about him with the Roar, Bunga decides to ask Rani.
Elsewhere, Makucha's Army plans on taking revenge against the Guard as Smun arrives towards Mama Binturong along with his porcupines while Fahari and Jiona arrive along with two other Komodo dragons to make Makucha's Army stronger to defeat the Guard and the Night Pride as Mama Binturong plans to take over the heroes.
Meanwhile inside the Tree, Bunga tells Rani about Kion to which Makini told her that Queen Janna showed her a painting a long time ago which showed Askari. According to the legend, Askari would go to Cikha Escarpment and practice to learn everything the Roar can do. Rani and Bunga decide to talk to Kion who is talking to Askari. Askari tells Kion to stay calm, focus, and Roar to control. Mastering the power of the Roar, Askari sings to Kion to make him learn the power of the Roar. As Kion continues practicing the roar under Askari's command, Kion continues practicing controlling the Roar.
Meanwhile at the taiga, Ullu notices Makucha's Army passing through the mountain pass leading to the Tree of Life to which Mama Binturong tells her not to warn the Night Pride about this ambush as she tells her porcupines to watch over the owl. Ullu then tricks the porcupines using her head ability by turning it all the way around as Smun decides not to tell the porcupines about their encounter with Ullu. Back at Cikha Escarpment, Rani and Bunga hear Kion using the Roar at the top of the cliff as Kion begins mastering the Roar. Elsewhere, Ullu warns the Night Pride that Mama Binturong has led an army of villains to kill the Lion Guard and the Night Pride so that they can eat the rare animals as the Night Pride decides to stop the army of villains from attacking. Meanwhile, the Lion Guard hears a loud stampede of villains approaching the Tree of Life. Ullu then tells the Lion Guard about the Night Pride on their way to fight back.
The Night Pride (this time without Rani) arrives at the Tree of Life and talk to Makini who tells them that Rani and Bunga went looking for Kion. Soon as they plan to escape, they are unable due to Makucha's Army placing a boulder blocking them. Makucha's Army then attacks the innocent animals (including Heng Heng, Astuto, Tangaagim, Kely, and others) as they plan on killing the other animals with the Night Pride trapped. Ullu and the Guard notice this as they plan on stopping the villains before they kill the other animals. Anga then notices the boulder blocking the entrance to the Tree which means they are trapped as they decide to work together to save the Night Pride and fend off Makucha's Army.
Soon as Kion finishes mastering the power of the roar at Cikha Escarpment, Anga arrives and warns Kion, Bunga, and Queen Rani that Makucha's Army of villains is back and the minions of his army have trapped the Night Pride and Makini at the Tree of Life as they continue planning to kill the other animals. Before planning to leave, Kion thanks Askari that he is now ready to use the roar. As Fuli notices Makucha chasing Rama, a mountain goat, as the Guard and Ullu begin fighting, Makini and the Night Pride work together to push the rock blocking the entrance to the Tree so they can escape with Beshte working together. Mama Binturong tells Ora and the Komodo dragons to stop Beshte from moving the rock away to which Anga scares them away with help from Kion, Bunga, and Queen Rani as they plan on taking out the Guard. Kion then decides to use the Roar at the army of villains and upon using the Roar, he is able to defeat Ora, Makucha, Chuluun, Smun and his porcupines, Fahari, Jiona, Ora's Komodo dragons, and Mama Binturong with the power to defeat the villains. He then uses the Roar to destroy the rock blocking the Tree of Life, freeing Makini and the Night Pride. Upon leaving, they notice the villains injured during battle to which Kion tells the villains to never attack the Tree again. Kion then uses the Roar of the Elders one last time to create a tornado that sucks up all the villains to lead them to a place very far away from the Tree of Life to never be seen again. Upon fending off the villains, Nirmala tells Kion he is now healed while Rani tells Kion that the Roar has returned to the Tree by telling him to stick around before leaving for the Pride Lands which leaves him and the rest of the Guard surprised.
