Anthony Russell "Tony" Hale is an American actor, voice actor, and comedian, who is best known for his roles as Buster Bluth in the Fox comedy series Arrested Development and Gary Walsh in the HBO comedy series Veep, since 2012, in which he won the 2013 and 2015 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series. He also portrayed Agent James Suggs in Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip, as well as voiced Furlough in the 2008 adaptation of The Tale of Despereaux and Ross, Cyrus, and Mime Bird in Sony Pictures' The Angry Birds Movie. Additionally, he voiced Leslie Noodman in the Nickelodeon animated series Sanjay and Craig and Chas Finster in the 2021 Paramount+ reboot series of Rugrats.
For Disney, he voiced Dr. Undergear in Jake and the Never Land Pirates, the Funwagon sports car in the Pickle and Peanut episode "Funwagon", Tobias the Elf in the Doc McStuffins episode "A Very McStuffins Christmas", Victor Von Goose in the Mickey Mouse Mixed-Up Adventures episode "Super-Charged!", the Pie King in the final season of Star vs. the Forces of Evil,[1] and Apothecary Gary in Amphibia. He also voiced Forky in the 2019 Disney/Pixar film Toy Story 4[2] and the short series Forky Asks a Question, as well as Vaneé in LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales. Additionally, he played Nicholas Benedict and L.D. Curtain in the Disney+ series The Mysterious Benedict Society, as well as Mayor Traske and Reverend Traske in Hocus Pocus 2. He voice Gooberto "Googi" Scorfano in Alberto's Mansion franchise. He replaced Bill Hader as the voice of Fear in the 2024 Disney/Pixar film Inside Out 2 He also replaced Jacob Tremblay as the voice of Luca "Mario" Paguro in the 2025 Disney/Pixar/Nintendo film Luca Mario & Alberto Luigi: The Movie. He also voiced Baggy in Luca 2.
