The Royal Nigerian is an upcoming American animated musical adventure-thriller comedy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios. It is scheduled to be released in 2027 and will be the animated feature in the Disney Animated Canon.
Three sequels are currently in development, the first being The Royal Nigerian: Heart of the Kingdom, which will be released in 2033.
Synopsis[]
Anathi is a prince from the kingdom of Nigeria, and sole heir to the throne. To become a successful successor like his father Amadau, Anathi must prove himself as savior of slaves in Somalia, ruled by Tariku who plans to destroy every kingdoms in Africa, and begins with Nigeria.

- The movie and novel were both made to honor the late Chadwick Boseman who portrayed T'Challa/Black Panther in Marvel Cinematic Universe.
