Reloaxa revealed he was working on a follow-up to The Herione of Ruhig with Olivia Olson and Julie Christie stating they would both be interested in playing their respective characters again. However, Christie had unexpectedly died while the film was in development, so Reloaxa made the tough decision to retire the character of Ulrike, writing her off as "deceased", instead of getting a new voice actor, because he didn't feel it was right to replace her.
