The Jackson 5, or Jackson Five, later known as The Jacksons, is a popular American family music group from Gary, Indiana. Formed in 1964 under the name the Jackson Brothers, the founding members were elder brothers Jackie, Tito, and Jermaine. Younger brothers Marlon and Michael would join soon after. They participated in talent shows and performed in clubs on the Chitlin' Circuit. They entered the professional music scene in 1967, signing with Steeltown Records and releasing two singles with the Steeltown label. In 1969, the group left Steeltown Records and signed with Motown.
For Disney, their song "I Want You Back" was played at the end of the live-action film, Guardians of the Galaxy.
Earlier, in the 1980s and '90s, their song "Dancing Machine" was made into a music video on DTV that aired on the Disney Channel and set to footage of the "Dance of the Hours" scene from Fantasia. The music video was made available on the DTV: Rock, Rhythm & Blues VHS, Betamax, CED, and Laserdisc.
