"The Animal Kingdom" is the 40th episode of Aladdin that aired on October 24, 1994. It is the 34th episode to air in syndication.
Plot[]
On their way home, with a bag of spice, Aladdin and his friends run into a snowy mountain, that leads them to a hidden valley. The gang sees a young koala hanging on a cliff from the dam, about to fall. Aladdin gets on Carpet and saves the koala, but the two fall and Aladdin gets his arm hurt.
The koala brings in a kangaroo named Kimbla, a warthog named Brisbane, and a hyena named Sydney. The animals are suspicious of Aladdin since he is human, so Sydney takes him to his house to lock him up. Meanwhile, Genie, Abu, Iago, and Carpet are on a search for Aladdin in the forest. Genie suggests that they split up with him being with Carpet and Abu being with Iago.
When Abu is about to go look for Aladdin, Iago talks him into stealing the gems and a huge diamond from the dam. Meanwhile, Genie finds Aladdin and the two see Sydney making the animals see Aladdin. Aladdin finds out that the animals think he's dangerous and tries to escape. Genie makes him lie down and goes to get Carpet and the others to help him.
After finding Carpet, Genie gets caught by Brisbane, who takes him to a school. Carpet goes to Abu and Iago to make them help Aladdin escape the valley. When the three get to Sydney's house, they get caught by Kimbla and Brisbane. Abu pretends to be Aladdin's doctor and when the gang is about to leave, Kimbla and Brisbane stop them but then see water coming out of the dam.
Aladdin and the gang save the valley and the animals don't think Aladdin's dangerous anymore until Brisbane shows them a bag full of stolen gems and diamond and the animals assume it was Aladdin who stole them, when it was really Abu and Iago. The Parrot tells them the truth, but they don't believe him. Kimbla makes Aladdin and Brisbane have a fight to the death.
Brisbane is later about to fall on the spikes and Aladdin saves him, making the animals understand him this time. At night, Aladdin tells Kimbla that someday, he could come back to their valley and Kimbla tells him that he can bring other men with him.
Trivia[]
This episode may or may not have taken place in Australia, due to the number of Australian animals depicted in the episode. However, given that warthogs and hyenas are not native to Australia, this is debatable.
