Plot Summary[]

Because of their guest star, Nathan Lane, Kermit, Walter, Fozzie and the Muppet friends agree to do opening and closing musical numbers from The Lion King (1994).

Cold Opening[]

  • Scooter knocks on Nathan Lane's dressing room door 5 times and tells him 16 2nds 'til curtain and Nathan agrees to do the show with them 'cause Scooter tells them that the theme their doing is The Lion King karaoke rendition.
  • The All-New Muppet Show Intro: Gonzo's bugle imitates a jungle scenery
  • Opening Musical Number: The Circle of Life (sung by Miss Piggy, Robin, Fozzie, Gonzo, Scooter, Skeeter, Walter and Rowlf)
  • Statler and Waldorf comment that they enjoy good broadway musical productions.
  • Bear on Patrol sketch number: Gonzo is framed for letting a tarantula loose in the apartment, but he claims to Patrol Bear (played by Fozzie in every single episode) that he didn't do it and he's the innocent type.
  • Statler and Waldorf comment that it must've been a creepy vampire person who let the tarantula loose in the apartment or it must've escaped all by itself.
  • The Swedish Chef makes a spinach carrot garden salad.
