"Take Me Home, Country Roads" is a song originally performed by John Denver, and has proven to be a popular song, having been covered by various artists.
In 1994, the song was performed by Mickey Mouse and his friends, as well as the Fun Songs Kids, in the video Campout at Walt Disney World. Their version of the song is more peppy and upbeat, in contrast to John Denver's original slightly slow and mellow version, though the lyrics remain the same.
The song was also heavily used in the 1995 Studio Ghibli film, Whisper of the Heart, mainly appearing in scenes where Shizuku translates the song to Japanese for her school's chorus club.

Almost Heaven
West Virgina
Blue Ridge Mountains
Shenandoah River
Life is old there
Older than the trees
Younger than the mountains
Growing like a breeze
Country roads
Take me home
To the place
I belong
West Virginia
Mountain mama
Take me home
Country roads
All my memories
Gather round her
Miner's Lady
Stranger to Blue Waters
Dark and dusty
Painted on the sky
Misty taste of moonshine
Teardrops in my eyes
Country roads
Take me home
To the place
I belong
West Virginia
Mountain mama
Take me home
Country roads
I hear her voice in the morning hour, she calls me
The radio reminds me of my home far away
And driving down the road, I get a feeling
That I should have been home yesterday
Yesterday
Country roads
Take me home
To the place
I belong
West Virginia
Mountain mama
Take me home
Country roads
Country roads
Take me home
To the place
I belong
West Virginia
Mountain mama
Take me home
Country roads
Take me home
Country roads
Take me home
Country roads
Take me home...
Country roads!
