Steven Allan Spielberg, KBE is an American filmmaker. He is well known for founding the company Amblin Entertainment which includes Jaws, the Indiana Jones franchise, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Schindler's List, Jurassic Park, Ready Player One, and the Warner Bros. animated series Tiny Toon Adventures. He also co-founded the studio DreamWorks (along with Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen).
Spielberg is probably the director who was influenced by the Walt Disney Company the most, as he served as an executive producer on the 1988 Touchstone Pictures film Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Gremlins, the Back to the Future series, The Adventures of PB&J Otter: The First Movie 2000, Casper, the Kevin Henkes' Lilly franchise, and many more. He also directed the 2016 film The BFG, which was released on July 1, making it the first Disney movie to be directed by Spielberg. Disney has also owned the Indiana Jones franchise, which Spielberg co-created with George Lucas, since December of 2013. Additionally, he directed the 2015 Touchstone Pictures film Bridge of Spies, and he will direct the 2020 remake of West Side Story.
He also pointed out that John Williams' theme of the movie Jaws (which Spielberg directed) was based on the theme of Man from Bambi, as was the main score for Close Encounters of the Third Kind, modeled after "When You Wish Upon a Star" from Pinocchio.
He was mentioned in the Lizzie McGuire episode "When Moms Attack", the Hannah Montana episode "Wherever I Go". He is also mentioned in the A.N.T. Farm episode "feature presANTation".

Trivia[]
- In some Aladdin episodes, Genie was seen transforming into various characters from some of Spielberg's movies including Indiana Jones, Jaws, and Dr. Alan Grant (played by Sam Neill) from Jurassic Park. Also, "Raiders of the Lost Shark" is a wordplay on Spielberg's Raiders of the Lost Ark.
- In Spielberg's 1979 movie 1941, a few clips of Dumbo were seen in a theater, since 1941 was the year Dumbo was produced and released.
- In E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, during the trick-or-treat scene, Yoda was included as a child's Halloween costume.
- Although it’s made from a separate company, and although Spielberg considers it to be one of his less well-received films, his work on Hook can be classified as a sequel to Disney’s Peter Pan, due in part to its nostalgic elements.
- The Mighty Ducks episode "Jurassic Puck" and the DuckTales episode "JAW$!" parody some of Spielberg's movies, Jurassic Park and Jaws. At the near end of the DuckTales episode, Flintheart Glomgold was seen spoofing Steven Spielberg as well.
- Also, the opening scene of "The Most Dangerous Game...Night!" spoofs the opening scene of Spielberg's Raiders of the Lost Ark.
