Steven John "Steve" Carell is an American actor, voice artist, comedian, producer, writer, and director. He is best known for his role as Michael Scott on NBC's The Office from 2005 to 2011 and its finale. He is also well known for his roles as Brick Tamland in the Anchorman films, Andy Stitzer in The 40-Year-Old-Virgin, Max Smart in Get Smart, and Cal Weaver in Crazy Stupid Love. He also voiced characters in animated films, such as Hammy the squirrel in DreamWorks' Over the Hedge, Ned McDodd, the Mayor of Whoville in Horton Hears A Who, and Felonius Gru in Universal/Illumination's Despicable Me film series.
For Disney, he portrayed Ben Cooper in the 2014 fantasy comedy film, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. He also voiced Mr. Delancey in the animated series Fillmore! and played Dan Burns in the 2007 Touchstone Pictures comedy Dan in Real Life.
