Stanley Tucci is an American character actor, writer, film producer, and film director, known for his roles as George Harvey in Peter Jackson's 2009 supernatural drama film, The Lovely Bones, for which he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, Caesar Flickerman in The Hunger Games franchise, and as Mitchell Garabedian in the 2015 critically acclaimed biographical drama film, Spotlight. He also voiced Herb Copperbottom in Blue Sky's 2005 animated comedy film, Robots.
His Disney roles include Arthur Herk in Big Trouble, Link Peterson in Shall We Dance?, James Boswell in Bill Condon's 2013 Touchstone Pictures biographical thriller film, The Fifth Estate, Charlie Lucky Luciano in Billy Bathgate, Amos Lansing in The Gun in Betty Lou's Handbag, Martin Fox in Swing Vote, Ivan the Guard in the 2014 musical comedy film, Muppets Most Wanted, and Giovanni Battista Caproni in the 2014 Studio Ghibli's English dub version of The Wind Rises. He also portrayed Cadenza in Condon's 2017 Disney live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast, and Merlin in the 2020 Fox film, The King's Man. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he played Abraham Erskine in the 2011 film, Captain America: The First Avenger, and reprises his role by voicing him in the What If...? series. Additionally, he provides the voice of Bitsy Brandenham in the 20th Century Fox Animation series, Central Park and played the United States Ambassador to the United Kingdom in The King's Man.
