Controversy[]
The episode was considered very controversial and was banned in a couple of countries for it's subject matter and language. It's the fifth episode that was met with controversy, the first four being Glow Disco, Rockery Beach of Doom, Coke and Mirrors and Suicidal Stephanie.
Reception[]
The episode has been universally acclaimed as one the best episodes of the whole series for it's serious storyline, Stephanie's role, messages and lack of comedy. While one critic described it as "Whips and Jingles 2.0", he stated it was even better.

- This was the fifteenth episode to be rated PG.
- It was rated PG for scary moments, on-screen smoking and mild language.
- The song that plays during the montage of Stephanie's Giving-Up Smoking Routine is "Fable" by late Italian DJ Robert Miles.
- This marks the first time Stephanie wears her cap in a different position. Instead of back to front, she wears it front to back.
- Stephanie reveals that she hates being reminded of her human days as it makes her sob heavily.
- Scoring from the first film is heard a few times in the episode.
- The episode contains references from Season 4 episode Suicidal Stephanie.
- It's also revealed that Stephanie seems to still remember the events of the episode, despite them being wiped out completely and making it look like they didn't happen.
