Sigourney Alexandra Weaver is an American actress and voice actress, who is best known for her role as Dana Barrett in the Ghostbusters films and Ellen Ripley in the Alien film franchise, where her character appears in the Disney's Hollywood Studios attraction The Great Movie Ride and Dr. Grace Augustine in Avatar. She also played Warden Walker in the 2003 Disney adventure comedy-drama film, Holes, and voiced Axiom's computer in the 2008 Disney/Pixar film, WALL-E, and Lady Starblaster in Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero. She also played Alice Hunt in the 2004 Touchstone Pictures film, The Village, and Ramona "Mona" Clark in the 2010 Touchstone Pictures film, You Again.
She was previously offered the role of Cruella De Vil in the live-action adaption of 101 Dalmatians, until Glenn Close took it after finishing her run in the musical Sunset Boulevard. She also voiced herself in Finding Dory and played Alexandra in The Defenders and to-be confirmed character in Avatar 2 and Avatar 3.
