Sally Fletcher is Julia's coworker, Joe's love-interest, and one of the characters in the Just So Movie.
Background[]
When Sally went to look for work, she didn't have any other choice but to work for Julia McSteller. She even signed a contract about it. Ms. Fletcher likes animals and is even in love with Joe. She will do anything to help the love of her life save his dream, even if it means wanting to quit working for the landlady.
Sally appears as a slender blonde haired woman with a ponytail held a blue hairband. She wears red lipstick and teal nail polish as well as a purple shirt, blue jeans, and aquamarine heels.
Appearances[]
In the movie, Sally is at the zoo with Julia McSteller while the landlady scolds Joe Grover, threatening to take the zoo if he doesn't pay his debt, as the coworker takes a liking to the Main Eleven and falls deeply in love with the head zookeeper. She tries to talk to Julia, but her boss cuts her off. As soon as Julia leaves, Sally tells Joe that she likes him, the zoo, and his animal friends; not to mention, how proud Marty was of his son and that she'll do anything to help save the zoo. She then hears her boss calling and says goodbye to Joe, promising she'll come back for him.
At the apartment, Sally looks lovingly at a picture of Joe when Julia forbids her to spend time with him, reminds about the contract she signed, and explains the evil plans for the zoo and the Main Eleven, much to Sally's displeasure. After Julia sings her song about money and leaves, Sally secretly looks more at her picture of Joe, promising to help him as she sings, "Sally & Joe".
Some time later back at the apartment, Sally gives Julia a manicure as the landlady is having a bath. Ms. McSteller goes over her plan again as she also explains what will happen to Joe and decides to keep Sally working for her. When Julia catches her coworker dreaming of Joe, Sally answers, "Nothing".
The next day, when Joe and his friends come up with a plan to save their dream, Julia and Sally return to the zoo. The landlady tells her coworker not to anything, especially hang out with her love, otherwise she'll be fired. With her fingers crossed behind her back, Ms. Fletcher obeys. Inside the zoo, Joe stands his ground refusing to sell the zoo; which pleases Sally. The head zookeeper and his love watch the animals attacking Julia.
When Joe wonders what the landlady would want with the zoo, Floyd guides him and Sally to Julia's car where they find her plans. Sally confesses that she didn't want anything to do with it and Joe confesses that he's not blaming her. When the police arrive so that Mr. Grover can show them the evidence along with his document and they declare the zoo to remain open, Sally gives Joe a kiss to congratulate him.
As Julia gets arrested for her crimes, Sally stands up saying that she likes Joe, animals deserve as much as humans, and she can't even be fired, so she quits while tearing her contract. With that, Sally and Joe head off to fix up the zoo as Bigmouth, Humphrey, Wrinkles, Spot, Trunksworth, Joey, Penny, Arnold, Clyde, Carl, and Floyd predict that things are going to get better. Once the zoo is fixed up and reopened, Sally and Joe get married to share their dream and later have a baby.
