Saide Flashscore is the protagonist of Disney's 2023 animated feature film Race Cars. He is one of the younger ones from Cars 3 and becomes a Race Car in The Infinity Race mentored by his idol Keith Windfilter and is the son of retired Racer Hepler Flashscore. He is inspired by Lightning McQueen and Dusty Crophopper from Cars and Planes.

Background

Saide Flashscore was born in the town Exchanger Motors, raised by his racing retired father Hepler Flashscore, and grew up with his best friend Trey Barton. But after his father's retirement, he refused allowing Saide to become a race car, and raised him to become a shop owner.

Personality

Unlike Lightning McQueen who was first seen to be an self-absorbed and cocky race car, Saide resembles Dusty Crophopper more. He has dreamed of becoming a race car like his dad, and idol Keith Windfilter.

Physical appearances

Saide Flashscore is inspired by Lightning McQueen and resembles the new rookies from Cars 3. He uses Lightyear tires and has a white trim on them. He has a red, maroon, black and white livery, similar to Aaron Clocker and Jonas Carvers. He has a checkerboard pattern on his hood and sides.

Trivia

• T.J. Miller was considered the role of Saide Flashscore, until Shia LaBeouf was cast.
• His name was going to be Rusty or Jake, until it was changed into Saide (LaBeouf's middle name).
