Rumiko Kurokawa (Japanese: 黒川 留美子, Kurokawa Rumiko), also known simply as Rumi, is a supporting character in the Big Hero 6 franchise. She is a geneticist working for Krei Tech Industries under the direct orders of Alistair's sister, Rayna. Originally from a small village in Japan, she was personally chosen by Regina to work for the company and was the one who foiled the illegal doings of Amrita Sarkar.
She is portrayed by Japanese actress Yukie Nakama.

Rumi was born Rumiko Kurokawa (Japanese: 黒川 留美子, Kurokawa Rumiko) in the small village of Kami, Hyōgo, Japan to Japanese parents Taiichi Kurokawa and Yasuko Kurokawa (née Nakata). Both her parents were menial tea leaf farmers, and neither obtained a formal college education. She was born two and five years before her younger brothers Hayato and Shota, respectively.
