Ferenc Raymond Sahetapy (Born, 1 January 1957) or known as Ray Sahetapy, was an Indonesian actor. who known for Since he was a teenager, this man of Maluku blood has dreamed of becoming an actor. In order to pursue his dream, Ray continued his studies at the Jakarta Arts Institute in 1977 , at the same age as Deddy Mizwar and Didik Nini Thowok . He graduated in 1988 . His first film was entitled Girl Magazine which was directed by Nya' Abbas Akup . In this film, he met Dewi Yull who was his first wife.
Through the film Noesa Penida , which aired in 1988 , Ray was nominated as the best actor at the 1989 Indonesian Film Festival . Through this studio, he once caused a stir because of the idea of the need to change the name of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of the Archipelago.
In mid 2006 , he returned to being active in the film world by starring in Their World . In fact, the PARFI congress in the same year chose Ray as one of its chairmen.
