Pamela Isley was a meek botanist interning under Dr. Jason Woodrue. She was recruited by Ferris Boyle to work at Gothcorp as a visiting specialist to perfect strains of freeze resistant plants for farming in cold climates. Woodrue modified her genetic code with plant DNA and mutated her. Isley discovered she could control plants, release mind control pheromones, and secrete a deadly toxin from her skin turning her into the super villainess Poison Ivy. She later joins the Black Marauder's Legion Of Villains in hope that in the processes plant life would win.
