The Phone Guy was a deleted character in the early version of the 1987 animated Disney film Five Nights at Freddy's and its sequels.

He was going to appear in the film as an aid to Mike Smith on how to complete his nights and end up being killed by Golden Freddy at the end of night 4 and originally he was going to be voiced by Jon Lovitz who also voiced Radio in The Brave Little Toaster.

Background[]

Phone Guy is a recurring character in the Five Nights at Freddy's. He is voiced by non other than Scott Cawthon himself.

Phone Guy is a employee who works at Freddy Fazbear's. He often leaves phone calls to other employees, giving them certain instructions of how the way things worked in the restaurant. In FNAF 1, Phone Guy states that it's his last week at Freddy's. He tells the player of how to defend themselves against the animatronics. In Night 4, Phone Guy sounded nervous while a loud banging sound is heard. It is soon revealed that Phone Guy is dead, but it is unknown of which animatronic he becomes.

In FNAF 2, Phone Guy returns while once again, he teaches the player how to defend themselves like before. In later nights, Phone Guy states that some one broke into Freddy's and stole a yellow suit. Not only that, but the Toy Animatronics' facial recognition system has been bugged and glitched. He also mentions a previous restaurant called "Fredbear's Family Diner".

In FNAF 3, Phone Guy leaves old recordings of his calls. In those recordings, Phone Guy sounded much younger than he was in the previous games. He talks about how to use a spring lock suit. In the last few recordings, he states that the spring lock suits are no longer available. Apparently, there a few tragic incidents happening at Freddy's and so because of that the spring lock suits had to be moved to a safe room where customers are not allowed to go in and the animatronics cannot see it.

It was originally believed that Phone Guy could be Purple Guy, since both seem to know a lot about Freddy Fazbear's and how both are assumed to be security guards
