Paul Newell Hester (January 8, 1959 - March 26, 2005) was an Australian drummer and percussionist, best known as a member of the bands Split Enz and Crowded House. Hester performed as a musician on Toot Toot!, the North American reissue of the Yummy Yummyalbum, and Let's Wiggle, and also made a guest appearance in the Yummy Yummy video as Paul the Cook.
In 2005, Hester took his own life at age 46 after suffering from depression for a number of years.
