Dame Olivia Newton-John, AC, DBE was an English-Australian singer, songwriter, and actress. Her only Disney role was Amy Miller in the made-for-television Christmas fantasy-comedy film, A Mom for Christmas, which aired on NBC.

Newton-John was born in Cambridge, United Kingdom. When she was six, her family emigrated to Melbourne, Australia, where her father worked as a professor at Ormond College at the University of Melbourne. She attended Christ Church Grammar School and then the University High School near Ormond. As she grew, Newton-John sang in various vocal groups as well as a solo act before winning a talent contest where se won a trip to the UK. There she recorded her first single, "Till You Say You'll Be Mine", in Britain for Decca Records in 1966.

While in Britain, she established herself as a professional singer before moving to the US for more acclaim. She would go on to win for Grammy Awards for songs like "Let Me Be There" and "I Honestly Love You". Other notable songs included "Have You Never Been Mellow", "Hopelessly Devoted to You", "Please Mr. Please", "A Little More Love", "Magic", "Physical", and "Heart Attack".

She would later gain international recognition for her portrayal of Sandy Olsson in the 1978 comedy film, Grease alongside John Travolta where they both gained critical acclaim and introduced the song "You're the One That I Want". She also appeared in films like Xanadu, Two of a Kind, It's My Party, Sordid Lives, The Wilde Girls, Score: A Hockey Musical, A Few Best Men and Sharknado 5: Global Swarming.

In 1992, she had been diagnosed with breast cancer and sought treatment. After her recovery, she became an advocate for cancer research and other health issues. However, her cancer returned in 2013 and in 2017 where it had metastasized to her lower back and progressed to stage IV. She succumbed to the disease on August 8, 2022 at her home in California, fifty days before her 74th birthday.
