Sir Nigel Barnard Hawthorne, CBE was an English actor, best known for his roles as Sir Humphrey Appleby in Yes Minister and its sequel series Yes Prime Minister and King George III in The Madness of King George. He also played Lord Covington (AKA: "Lord Cucuface") in the 1998 adaptation of Madeline.
For Disney, he voiced Fflewddur Fflam in the 1985 Disney animated feature film, The Black Cauldron, Archimedes Q. Porter in the 1999 Disney animated feature film, Tarzan and Lawrence Geargrinder in the 2005 Blue Sky Studios film, Robots.
