Background

Mr. Jones is not a very nice man. He hates working on his farm and he hates being nice, especially to the animals on Manor Farm. If you try to reason with this fellow, then you're out of luck; because he accepts himself for who he is too much and therefore refuses to change his ways. Even the animals don't like him. If they want to live in peace, then they will have to stand together. They had also better be on their guard if he ever tries to come back, and he will come back.

Mr. Jones appears as a slender man with black hair and brown eyes. He wears a cerulean shirt, blue overalls, and maroon boots. He carries a whip for whipping the animals around.

Video Game

Mr. Jones appears in the Animal Farm video game as the first boss. Even after being driven off the farm, he returns to try and reclaim it; but he still gets taken to a psychiatric hospital at the end just like in the movie.

Trivia

• In the Disney movie, his full name is Leonard R. Jones.
• In the book, he died after his final encounter with the animals and he died when the windmill exploded in the 1954 animated film, but his fate is unknown after he and his wife flee from destroying the windmill. However, in the Disney movie, he will be taken to a psychiatric hospital after the animals revolt during the card game since the other farmers decide to be good from now on and Mr. Jones still refuses to change his ways.
