Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur is an animated series, based on the Marvel Comics superhero duo of the same name. It premiered on February 10, 2023 on Disney Channel.

Synopsis[]

Based on Marvel's hit comic books, "Marvel's Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur" follows the adventures of 13-year-old super-genius Lunella Lafayette and her 10-ton T-Rex, Devil Dinosaur. After Lunella accidentally brings Devil Dinosaur into present-day New York City via an interdimensional portal, the duo works together to protect the city's Lower East Side from danger.

    • Rockin' Rudy, a fast-driving, flashy villain.

Soundtrack[]

The soundtrack to the series was released the day of the series premiere and features music from various artists including Diamond White, the voice of Moon Girl. One of the songs featured is a cover of Bill Withers' "Just the Two of Us".

Trivia[]

  • Following the episode "Today, I Am a Woman", Steve Loter was asked if the series is canon with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but he responded with a zipped lip emoji.[4] He later admitted that while the series is not directly tied to the MCU, it will continue to borrow heavy elements.[5]
  • The overall look of the show was inspired by pop art and graffiti, specifically those inspired by Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Keith Haring.[6]
  • Steve Loter hinted that the series might crossover, not just with other Marvel characters, but other Disney Television animation shows as well.[5]
  • This is the first animated Marvel show since Hit-Monkey to not receive LEGO sets.
