Melanie Setori is the deuteragonist of Pixar's Gingereena. She is voiced by Tamara Mowry who appeared in Melissa and Joey and Sister, Sister with her twin sister. She lives in the far outskirts of Paris, where she practices advanced sorcery and works at her mother's fabric shop.
Role in Gingereena[]
Melanie doesn't appear midway 30 minutes into the film. She helps out Gingereena by taking her to The Court of Miracles Shopping Mall to look for a human spell. She follows her back to Tarroy Arts Academy, to stop The Whimsy Ballet Squad audition. Afterwards Melanie starts school in Tarroy Arts with a Sorcery/Cheer/Wooden Robotics major for duel credit.
Role in Lampy & Mel[]
Melanie was picked as head decorator for the Tarroy Arts Summer Dance. Marissa and her friends return for the special event, and to have their revenge by outlawing all gypsy students from Paris. Melanie also met the "love of her life" Lampwick. He is visiting his grandmother for the summer, and he met Melanie at a local coffee shop. During his time after the events of Pinocchio, he befriended a grasshopper named Timothy Hopper. He helped Melanie defeat Marissa and afterwards became Melanie's date (later boyfriend) for the dance.
Absence in Pinoke & Gigi 2[]
Melanie nor Genesis appeared in the film. According to Gingereena, the two went to cheer camp for the summer, since the film takes place in the summertime.
Known as a "super powered" gypsy[]
Melanie bought a Mythical Spell book when she was 3 years old. After reading its magic qualities for 2 years, she was granted her fuchsia power blasts and the ability to fly.
Once Upon A Time[]
Melanie plays as a crime investigator still on the whereabouts of Emma Swan.

- In some promotional content Melanie's last name is misspelled "Satori" instead of Setori.
- Melanie was originally supposed to have her own film, where it tells her origin story. But the film was eventually made into Lampy & Mel.
- Melanie is one of the few Disney kids to have black hair along with, Hiro, Lilo, Vanellope, and Pinocchio.
- The reason why Melanie wasn't present in Pinoke & Gigi 2 was because her father appeared, and the writers didn't want her to know that her father was a villian.
