Margaret Mary Emily Anne Hyra, better known as Meg Ryan, is an American actress, director, and film producer. She is known for her roles as Sally Albright in 1989's When Harry Met Sally with Billy Crystal, Kathleen Kelly in the 1998 romance You've Got Mail with Tom Hanks (they both started since Joe Versus the Volcano and Sleepless in Seattle), Dr. Maggie Rice in the 1998 drama City of Angels, her 20th Century Studios roles as Kate in the 1995 film, French Kiss, Karen Walden in the 1996 film, Courage Under Fire with Denzel Washington, and the voice of the title character in the 1997 film, Anastasia.
For Disney, she played Kate McKay in Kate & Leopold, Sydney Fuller in the 1988 Touchstone Pictures film, D.O.A., Cally Oaks in Wildside, and Alice Green in the 1994 Touchstone Pictures film, When a Man Loves a Woman.
