Lucy Liu (Chinese: 劉玉玲) is an Taiwanese-American actress, artist, narrator, and film producer, who is best known for her roles as Ling Woo on the Fox legal comedy-drama series Ally McBeal from 1997 to 2002, Alex Munday in the 2000 action comedy film, Charlie's Angels and its 2003 sequel, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. She also voiced Madam Wu from The Simpsons and Master Viper in the Kung Fu Panda franchise. She starred as Dr. Joan Watson on the CBS crime drama series Elementary from 2012 to 2019.
For Disney, she voiced Silvermist in the Tinker Bell film series, and Princess Mei in the 2004 direct-to-video film, Mulan II. She also played Lia in the 1999 Touchstone Pictures film, Play It to the Bone, Princess Pei Pei in the 2000 Touchstone Pictures film, Shanghai Noon, Rita Foster in the 2002 Miramax film, Cypher, Kitty Baxler in Chicago, O-Ren Ishii in the 2003 Mirmax film, Kill Bill and its 2004 sequel, Woman #3 in Home Improvement, Grace Chin in the ABC TV show, Ugly Betty, Mia Mason in the ABC TV show, Cashmere Mafia, and Nola Lyons in the ABC TV show, Dirty Sexy Money.
