- “You can call me Liz or Sugar. I'm a freelance baker and a little obsessed with '80s movies, but usually I really enjoy anime and video games. I'm in a loving relationship and I plan on moving in with him soon. Anyways, that's as much as I can think of at the moment.”
- ―Liz Sylvestre
Elizabeth 'Liz' Claire Sylvestre is a fictional character created by pure-patissiere. She is a shy, polite and kind-hearted baker and loves to bake the finest desserts for everyone.
Appearance[]
Liz is a very small, petite woman. Her golden blonde locks have gentle waves and ringlets, it’s quite curly and bouncy in texture, and it shines very vibrantly, parting on the right side. Her eyes are large, downturned and shiny, almost like puppy dog eyes. Her hues are a bright blue-green teal color. Her hair also has a little cowlick near the front of her part, which never seems to stay down. She is also on the chubby side, being pear shaped with a squishy stomach.
Her clothing choices could be described as “stereotypically feminine.” She loves to wear pastels, and she owns almost exclusively skirts, dresses, and pretty undergarments. She wears pastel pink the most, and all of her clothing lengths are around knee length. She likes florals and lace, and doesn’t really like super sparkly or shiny things. Overall, her clothing is cute, modest and sweet.
Personality[]
Liz is a sweetheart at her core, wanting nothing more than for her happiness to bring happiness to others around her. She is quite shy and soft-spoke, and her voice is just slightly below a normal speaking tone. She almost sounds whispy and whimsical, almost like a fairy. She becomes anxious and flustered quite easily, and she gets worried about the smallest of things. She often puts herself down and has low self esteem. She overworks herself a lot and tries to prove that she’s more than what she believes. Even if it does harm her health.
Backstory[]
Liz was born to David and Linda Sylvestre in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is their second and youngest child, and she was an accident. She has an older sister, who is nine years older than her named Anna. Right from the moment she was born, she was begrudgingly cared for. Her parents were too concerned with making sure that their eldest carried on the traditional torch of their career, being in the medical field.
Liz wasn’t completely interested in the pursuit of the medical profession, and she had to learn how to take care of herself from a young age. She was a latchkey kid, and she had to cook, clean and do practically everything herself. She learned a love of cooking because of this, and she fell in love with baking around the age of seven, clearly showing an interest in a career for it. Anna took notice of this, and she couldn’t understand why her sister would want to do something else that didn’t involve her family, a legacy she was choosing to abandon.
The two got into an argument, which resulted in Anna attempting to corner Liz on the fireplace. She fell backwards and broke the glass covering it, cutting her thigh in the process. Anna did feel guilty about hurting her sister, but she also felt she deserved it for heading on the path of abandoning her family. This emotionally scarred Liz, and she was weary around her sister from then on.
Years passed and she continued to do things on her own, her parents always at work and her sister then in med school. She started learning more and more about her interest, and even headed onto culinary school. She had learned there that she had a heightened sense of taste and smell, and she wanted to learn how to use it in her culinary skills. She had been saving up for years, since high school, to open up her own bakery and cafe, and she was extremely close to her goals.
She almost didn’t get the place she had her eye on, but she managed to snag it before another person did, who wanted to turn it into a chain pizza delivery store. She named it “Rose Patisserie” and she had worked hard to keep it up and running. She considers herself lucky at least to have achieved her dream, though she harbors guilt about not sticking with her family. She struggles every day but she pushes forward to keep her dream alive.
