―Lily's tagline
“Heigh-dee, heigh diddly-di, diddly dum doo di dum, heigh diddly doo dum diddly di day! Heigh dee, heigh diddly di, diddly di, heigh diddly dum di doo dum di day! Heigh diddly dum doo di diddly di doo dum diddly di day!”
―Lily's humming, There was an old man named Michael Finnegan
Lily is a feisty and imaginative 5-year old Northern Irish red-headed tot girl who is a young sea-treasure hunter and looks like a paper doll. She has short red hair with a flower barrette, a Northern Irish accent and red rosy painted circles on her cheeks, wears a printed blouse, a blue jumper with two buttons and a big gingham pocket, striped stockings and blue boots and dances like an Irish paper doll. She is best friends with a funny seagull named Gull. Her catchphrases are "What is it, Gull?", "Sea treasure!", "Everyday a new adventure washes up on the beach!", "Across the way on Driftwood Bay!", "Ooh, hi, I’m Lily!", "Come on, Gull!", "Aye, aye, Captain Salty!", "Hoop-dee-doo!", "Hooray!" and "Ooooh, clever Gull!"
In the Disney movie, The Lily's Driftwood Bay Movie: A Very Silly Adventure, she (in her black and white winter clothes) and Gull, along with Laura, Scott and Ginger go off on a big wacky, goofy, nutty and silly musical adventure to Driftwood Bay to reunite her friends: Captain Salty, Nonna, Hatsie, Lord Stag, Bull, Wee Rabbit, Puffin and the Squeaky Mice. Also on Driftwood Bay, there is a mob of yellow Spurtlegurgles, a trio of blue Twirlypops, a duo of green Jingleheimers, a group of Furky Frogs, a family of red Bittybooties and Purple Pasha, where they need help with Lily and her friends get her colors back on her black and white winter clothes. Lily uses a long piece of golden pipe for sea treasure. When she blows into one end, it makes everybody visible. But when she sucks into it, it makes everyone invisible. Later it was made into a scepter to make Lily become the Queen of Driftwood Bay. Lily also loves to laugh, whistle and sing silly songs, along with her friends, and she whistles and sings "Heigh-dee-diddly-di-dum-diddly-doo-dum-day!" in the songs "Life at Sea," "No Place Like Sea," "We All Sing Together," "Michael Finnegan," "Once an Austrian Went Yodeling," "Swinging the Alphabet" (with different consonants), "The Grasshopper and the Ants" and "Bucket of Dew (Paddy O’Conlon of Colovar)."
