Liam John Neeson, OBE is a Northen Irish-born Irish actor well known for his distinctive deep, gravelly voice. He is most famous for his roles in various films, such as Oskar Schindler in Steven Spielberg's 1993 epic historical drama film, Schindler's List and Tim Burton's 1993 horror animated film, The Nightmare Before Christmas for which he received an nomination for an Academy Award for Best Actor, the 1996 historical biographical drama film, Michael Collins, Richard Curtis's 2003 Christmas-themed romantic comedy film, Love Actually, Bill Condon's 2004 biographical drama film, Kinsey, Henri Ducard / Ra's al Ghul in Christopher Nolan's 2005 superhero film, Batman Begins, the Taken trilogy, Martin Scorsese's 2016 epic historical drama film, Silence, the Coen Brothers' Netflix-distributed Western black comedy anthology film, The Ballad of the Buster Sruggs, and Steve McQueen's heist thriller film, Widows (both films released in 2018). He also voiced Phango in the 2013 3D computer-animated film, Khumba, and Good Cop/Bad Cop in Phil Lord's and Christopher Miller's 2014 computer-animated adventure comedy film, The LEGO Movie.

For Disney, he played Qui-Gon Jinn in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, Charles Mayeaux in Gun Shy, Aslan in the first two Chronicles of Narnia films under the Disney banner (along with its later films outside of Disney), and Fujimoto in the 2008 Studio Ghibli/Disney English dub version of Ponyo. He also portrayed Ben Ryan in Before and After, Leo in the 1988 Touchstone Pictures film, The Good Mother, and as "Priest" Vallon in Scorsese's 2002 epic historical crime film, Gangs of New York. He even voiced Qui-Gon's Force Ghost in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
