Lee Edward Unkrich is an American director, film editor, producer, storyboard artist, screenwriter, and occasional voice actor. He was a member of the creative team at Pixar Animation Studios. He severd as an editor for the studios' early films then later co-directed Toy Story 2, Monsters, Inc. (alongside David Silverman), and Finding Nemo. He made his solo director debut with 2010's Toy Story 3 and later directed 2017's Coco, for which he won an Academy Award.
On January 18, 2019, Unkrich announced he would leave the company after over twenty-five years of work.
