Kern is the master husbandman of the world and a character in the Life and Adventures of Santa Claus.
Background[]
Kern the Master Husbandman is in charge of all the world's fields. He's also one of Ak's brothers and a member of the Council of Immortals. He can help in deciding if Santa Claus should live forever or not with his brothers, Ak and Bo, and the other Immortals. Kern doesn't let anything or anyone stop him, just like his fellow masters. He won't let anyone ruin his fields or damage his crops.
Kern appears as a slender immortal man with a long, grizzled, white beard. He wears a yellow robe, brown shoes, a gold belt with a wheat belt buckle, and a wheat hat on his head. He also wields a rake for when he works in his fields.
Appearance[]
In the movie when Santa is about to die, Ak summons Kern and the other Immortals for a council. After the Master Woodsman explains about Santa Claus, the Immortals, including Kern, take a vote agreeing that the toymaker should live forever just like them.
Just as the Spirit of Death is about to take Santa, the Immortals show up just in time to prevent it from happening and Ak bestows the Mantle of Immortality upon Santa. The next day, Santa thanks Ak and the other Immortals for making him one of them as he promises to work harder than ever before. Soon, Kern returns to his duties and is not seen again for the ending.
Video Game[]
Kern appears in the video game as a non-playable character. He is one of the characters the players can interact with.
