Kaleidoscothic II: A Stitch in Crime is a 2032 American 3D computer-animation mystery sci-fi comedy horror film produced by Thirty-8 Animations and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. It is the second entry in the Kaleidoscothic film series, coming out exactly 5 years after the first film. It is based on 'A Stitch in Crime', the second entry of the web comic anthology series 'Kaleidoscothic' created by Reloaxa, who directed and wrote the film.
Film Summary[]
Edward Stanbank, a local pumpkin pie maker, needs help from his sister and his granddaughter on the night of Halloween, to figure out why the townsfolk of Hellville are acting strange after purchasing his pies. They end up discovering a bunch of jack-o-lanterns with their mouths stitched up.

Kaleidoscothic II: A Stitch in Crime received generally mixed-positive reviews. Critics said that while the plot had potential and effort put into it, it lacked the first film's heart and tension, with some calling it a typical Halloween flick, while also going at its constant filler and poor pacing. Many also felt it copied a few elements of the first film. But, they praised the animation, creative ideas, characters and voice performances. The review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes reports that 64% of critics gave the film a positive review based on 198 reviews, with an average score of 6.0/10. The site's consensus states: "Kaleidoscothic II: A Stitch in Crime may lack the heart and dark edge of it's predecessor, but still delivers very well on it's characters, ideas and atmosphere." Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating out of 100 from top reviews from mainstream critics, calculated a score of 58 based on 43 reviews, indicating "Generally mixed reviews." In CinemaScore polls, cinema audiences gave Kaleidoscothic II: A Stitch in Crime an average score of "A–" on an A+ to F scale.

- Reloaxa stated in an interview that the 1982 movie Halloween III: Season of the Witch was a big inspiration for not only this movie, but also for making Kaleidoscothic into an anthology, saying that he found a new appreciation for the film after researching about Halloween creator John Carpenter making the franchise into an anthology, which he felt could have been 'really interesting and cool'.

In 2033, Reloaxa hinted that the next film was in development. By 2034, he confirmed it officially went into production and initially stated it would be the final in the series, as he didn't plan to adapt the other stories into movies at first. Titled Kaleidoscothic III: Darkest Days, the film was released in 2036 to critical and commercial success.
