Joseph Francis "Joe" Alaskey III was an American actor, voice actor, stand-up comedian, and impressionist, best known for being Mel Blanc's successor as the voice of several Looney Tunes characters, as well as Plucky Duck in Tiny Toons Adventures and other Warner Bros. cartoon characters. He was also well-known for voicing Stinkie, one of Casper's uncles, in the 1995 live-action film, Casper, and for being the second voice of Grandpa Lou Pickles in the Nickelodeon series Rugrats since Season 5 (replacing the late David Doyle in 1997). Additionally, he voiced Droopy in various Tom and Jerry feature films from 2011 until his death in 2016.

Aside from voice acting, Alaskey was also well known for his role as Beano Froelich on NBC TV sitcom Out of this World.

For Disney, he voiced Yosemite Sam in 1988 Touchstone Pictures comedy Who Framed Roger Rabbit (he had taken the role of Yosemite Sam because Blanc refused to voice him due to the voice always being rough on his throat), and was heard as the voice-over announcer for Toon Disney from 2001 to 2004. He also voiced Lobster Mobster in The Little Mermaid television series, Little Jimmy in Timon & Pumbaa, Flaps the Elephant in Bonkers, and Soda Vendbot/Newspaper Vendbot in Buzz Lightyear of Star Command.

Alaskey passed away of cancer on February 3, 2016 at age 63.
