The Jedi Interceptor (also known as the Eta-2 Actis-class interceptor) is a starfighter used by the Jedi Order in the later stage of The Clone Wars. It is armed with two large laser cannons and two ion cannons and has improved firepower over its predecessor, though at the expense of shields and armor. The fighter was featured in Revenge of the Sith.
Darth Vader would continue to use a modified black variant of the Jedi starfighter even after the end of the Clone Wars.
The Jedi Interceptor was used during the Battle of Coruscant, as flown by Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi on their way to the Invisible Hand. Obi-Wan's ship was attacked and nearly destroyed by buzz droids, but Anakin rescued him and they flew aboard the ship. During the subsequent battle aboard the flagship, the ship is seen several times in the background.
The Jedi Interceptor is seen again when Obi-Wan flies a new one to Utapau. The ship is later flown away by Obi-Wan's astromech, R4-G9. It is seen one last time when Anakin, now the feared Sith Lord Darth Vader, flies it to Mustafar where he has gone to eliminate the Separatist leaders.
In the series of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, several Jedi, including Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka Tano; used these Jedi Interceptors throughout the war.
