Jason Francesco Schwartzman is an American actor and musician, who is best known for his role as Jonathan Ames on the HBO comedy series Bored to Death from 2009 to 2011. He also voiced Ash in the 2009 adaptation of Fantastic Mr. Fox and Jesper in the 2019 animated film, Klaus. He is the older brother of actor Robert Schwartzman.
For Disney, he played Richard M. Sherman in the 2013 Disney biographical drama film, Saving Mr. Banks. He also played Gag Halfrunt in the 2005 Touchstone Pictures film, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (although his role was uncredited), Jeremy in Shopgirl, and Max Fischer in Rushmore, and wrote The French Dispatch.
