Jake Austin Szymanski, known professionally as Jake T. Austin, is an American actor and voice actor, who began his career as a child actor at the age of seven. He is a five-time Young Artist Award nominee, best known for his role as Max Russo in the Disney Channel Original Series Wizards of Waverly Place. He also voiced Bluz in Season 2 of Happy Monster Band. Additionally, he starred in the Freeform drama series The Fosters for the first two seasons before leaving the show.
Outside of Disney, he is well-known for portraying Bruce in the 2009 DreamWorks comedy film Hotel for Dogs. He also voiced Diego in Seasons 1-3 of the Nick Jr. series Go, Diego, Go!, Fernando in the Blue Sky's Rio films, and Alex in the 2017 Sony Pictures animated film The Emoji Movie.
