The Emotional Whirlwind utilizes the long-vacated Maliboomer space and anchor a neighborhood of Pixar Pier known as "Inside Out Headquarters". It also utilizes the infrastructure of the A Bug's Land attraction Flik's Flyers.

Trivia

• The control panel for the ride resembles the one at the Emotion Headquarters.
• One of the Bensons from Toy Story 4 makes a cameo appearance on a poster for the Subconscious (above Jangles the Clown).
