"Here on the Land and Sea" is a song performed in the 2000 film The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea. This song is sung by the cast of characters to celebrate the defeat of Morgana, and that Ariel is no longer afraid to let her daughter Melody venture out into the sea.

Lyrics[]

Sebastian: I hear the music playing

It's swinging and it's swaying

A little rhapsody

Today we're so delighted

Today we're all united

Here on the land and sea

I think the sails are sailing

Even the whales are whaling

They're swimming fancy-free

We're feeling better now

We sing together now

Here on the land and sea

La-dee-da pick up the beat

Move your fins and move your feet

Life is sweet, life is grand

Blowing bubbles with the bass sprats band

Everybody now!

Ariel: There's no more stormy weather

Melody: Now we can sing together

Ariel and Melody: In perfect harmony

Ariel, Melody and Sebastian: We're feeling better now

We sing together now

Here on the land and sea

Sebastian: Those on land sing

Land Folk: "La-de-dah-do"

Sebastian: Those below sing

Fluke: "Do-dee-do-do"

Sebastian: Life is sweet as sweet can be

On the land and on the sea

Everybody sing!

We're feeling better now

We sing together now

Here on the land and sea

All: We're feeling better now

We sing together now

Here on the land and sea!

Melody: (giggles)

Trivia[]

  • The fluke that sang "Do-dee-do-do" was a recolored version of the one from "Under the Sea".
  • On the special edition release, during Ariel and Melody's verse, the shot of Sebastian swimming to shore with seahorses and waves crashing is replaced with an extended scene of Ariel and Melody on the rock.
