In the 2013 version, the brass section, including the intro, is omitted so the guitars and keyboards can sound more clearly. The 2013 version also features Henry saying "Gyoo-glik-nay-brrrick-gk-gk-gk-gk-gk-gk-gk-gk-gk-oh, That's Octopulian for Let's Dance."
The instrumental track for this song is heard in the Series 1 episode "Anthony's Friend" and Series 2 episode "Directions".
When performed at non-Christmas concerts, the lyrics "Cause it's almost Christmas day" are changed to "Cause it's such a special day". In addition, the version heard in Wiggledance has higher-pitched background vocals that are not heard in the regular version.
