Guests board a train in the shape of Heimlich, he narrates the ride through the speakers on the train. Heimlich's tendency to overeat is the theme of the ride, as the train appears to eat through oversized portion of human foods: candy corn (one of Heimlich's favorite food), animal crackers, carrots, Brussels sprouts and watermelon. Appropriate scents accompany the giant food sets so guests can sniff to attract them. Large bites have been taken out of all the foods, so you can tell that Heimlich has been there before. At the end of the ride, Heimlich bids guests farewell and reminds them to eat their fruits and vegetables.
Joe Ranft (Heimlich's voice actor) poses in front of one of the Heimlich trains in the attraction in March 2003.
Trivia[]
After the attraction's closure, some of the oversized food props were donated to the Santa Ana Zoo and the Pretend City Children's Museum.
Audio clips from the attraction were later used for the Pixar Pier carnival game Heimlich's Candy Corn Toss as part of A Bug's Land closing down in September 2018 to make way for a Marvel-themed area.
After the ride closed in 2018, one of the cars from the attraction was moved to the headquarters of Pixar Animation Studios in memory of Joe Ranft.
Another car from the attraction was on display at D23 Expo 2019 along with a car from Francis' Ladybug Boogie.
