Goldie & Bear is a series on Disney Junior. While the series did not premiere on television until September 12, 2015, installments of the series were made available beforehand via the network's streaming video mobile-app service.[1] The series is re-imagining of the tale of Goldilocks and the Three Bears in which Goldilocks and the youngest bear (presented as a bear about Goldilocks' age in the series) become best friends following the incident at the Bear family household (as seen in the original fairytale). The premiere episode is "Giant Among Us; Fetch Skippy Fetch".
Characters from various fairy tales can be seen in the series, including Humpty Dumpty, Little Red Riding Hood, the Three Little Pigs, and the Big Bad Wolf, who is often referred to simply as "Big Bad" and whose behavior is often more simply mischievous than outright harmful.
The two main characters journey through a forest of fairy tale characters and concepts, having adventures that often feature a touch of magic. One instalment sees them finding a baby dragon, in another, they must chase Jack's pet goose, Goosey, who lays golden eggs. Throughout, they rely on their friendship with each other.
The show was renewed for a second season in 2016 that premiered on September 18, 2017.[2]
On July 16, 2018, it was confirmed that the show had been cancelled after two seasons. The last episode aired on October 1, 2018, with reruns until October 22.

Production[]
Production on "Goldie and Little Bear" had begun in early 2012[4]. A fully animated pilot was created and was later reworked into episode 2 of Season 1.
Lawsuit[]
In June of 2018, the creators filed a lawsuit against Disney after production on the second season was transfered to another studio leaving the two studios who were originally producing it empt handed. Disney was also alleged to have "already secretly lined up a rival production company called Titmouse” to produce the second season of the series, then “lured away most of Plaintiff Milk Barn’s employees in New York to work for Titmouse by falsely claiming that Milk Barn was closing and the employees were being transferred.” “By destroying the two Plaintiff companies, Disney made it virtually impossible for those companies to ever be in the children’s television or feature business again,” which they were planning to do, the suit says. Disney also told Korbelin to fire the original executive producer of the show and take over his duties — and that Korbelin is still owed more than $250,000 for his 18 months as an executive producer on the show. “The fact that this horrific conduct occurred with regard to the production of a children’s animated show casts a dark shadow on the character of the management of Disney,” the suit adds. TheWrap has reached out to Disney for comment on the suit, which says that the Plaintiffs’ damages “are estimated to be a minimum of $20 million.”[5]
