The episode gained controversy, being banned in a few countries and was even nearly banned in the UK, because of a couple of scenes suggesting sexual activities. The episode is now only repeated in the UK and USA after 9pm.

Despite it's controversy, the episode itself received generally positive reviews, with praise going to the music use, the animation effects and humour.
