General Boggis is the true main antagonist of the Disney/Touchstone's 2015 film, Hugo. He is a military general above every soldier, and is responsible for creating his evil plan to destroy Canada.

Background[]
Leading the republicans to war, he conquered Wonderland, handing the throne to his assistant and fellow sorceress Queen Shadowleaf. After taking over the kingdom, he became the general of the Card Military, speaking in front of his kingdom about the new government's rules and about what happens if you plan to revolt. However, revolutions got out of control, and after the rebellions have killed Shadowleaf, he settled down the battle, by burning the place down.
Role in the film[]
In his first appearance, he sought Alice, and imprisoned her after Heartluck's permission. After her escape, Alice made a deal with Queen Heartluck, and when Alice returned with the leaf, Heartluck burnt the leaf. When Alice ran out of the castle, Alice saw the fairies dying there, as McSalad came and implied that when the fairies die, all of their remaining powers will convert to the queen. Then, Jason Healstone came and killed him (after he tried to charge his soldiers on Jason), waiting for Alice to finish her battle outside the castle.
