Frozen IV is an upcoming 2033 American 3D computer-animated musical adventure-comedy/drama fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. It serves as a sequel to Frozen III and the fourth installment of the Frozen franchise.

Production

On November 16, 2023, during the opening ceremonies of World of Frozen at Hong Kong Disneyland, Bob Iger announced that Frozen IV was also being developed alongside Frozen III. Franchise star Idina Menzel (Elsa) also confirmed on her socials that both Frozen III and Frozen IV are in development. Kristen Anderson-Lopez, who writes the music for the franchise also confirmed that they are hard at work creating the new music that will be featured in the next installments.

Trivia

• This will mark the first tetralogy in the Disney Animated Canon, as well as the second theatrically animated tetralogy from Disney overall, the other being Toy Story.
