Figaro and Cleo is a song from the 1943 cartoon short of the same name, which serves as the short's signature song. The song was later adapted as Figaro's theme for his short-lived series of shorts. It is also included in the Disney Sing-Along Songs video, Disney Sing Along Songs: The Bare Necessities.

Lyrics[]

Figaro was a little kitty cat, a little kitty cat, a little kitty cat
Figaro was a little kitty cat, no food for kitty

Cleo was a little bitty fish, a little bitty fish, a little bitty fish
Cleo was a little bitty fish, oh what a pity

Figaro looked at Cleo with hunger in his eyes
Then shook his head and sadly said, "No, no, I'd rather die"

I just can't eat that little bitty fish, that little bitty fish, that little bitty fish
Although she'd make a dainty little dish
(pause)
Although she'd make a dainty little dish
I can't to Cleo

Well, you can't just think anything you wish, anything you wish, anything you wish
But that's the tale of a kitty and a fish
Figaro, Figaro, Figaro... and Cleo!

Figaro is a clever little cat
A very clever cat
A little bitty cat
Figaro knows a lot of this and that
What a clever kitty cat

Figaro was a little kitty cat, a little kitty cat, a little kitty cat
Figaro was a little kitty cat, no food for kitty

Cleo was a little bitty fish, a little bitty fish, a little bitty fish
Cleo was a little bitty fish, oh what a pity

Figaro looked at Cleo with hunger in his eyes
Then shook his head and sadly said, "No, no, I'd rather die"

I just can't eat that little bitty fish, that little bitty fish, that little bitty fish
But that's the tale of a kitty and a fish
Figaro, Figaro, Figaro... and Cleo!
